Anti-reflection coatings

An anti-reflection coating can be added to nearly all lenses. This coating improves the clarity and cosmetic appearance of the lens as it almost eliminates surface reflections. The coating can be a little more prone to smudging than an uncoated lens, however the new better quality coatings greatly reduce this problem. We use the better coatings as standard where available.

Many high index lenses come standard with an anti-reflective coating. It is highly recommended on polycarbonate or Phoenix lenses as they are a little more reflective.
